
Duane Hill is one of the founding members of the Coulee Region Woodturners club located in Onalaska, Wisconsin. Currently the club has approximately 100 members from Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. Duane has been the past president, vice president and program director of the club. Duane has been turning for over 30 years. He has taken several woodturning classes taught by professional turners. Duane has taught woodturning at Western Technical College in La Crosse and is currently offering classes outside of the college. Duane’s favorite things to turn are Christmas ornaments and hollow forms. One of his favorite woods to turn is box elder burl.
